Test
Description:
The surface hardness of the coating is
tested by scraping it with hardness pencils. The hardness pencil
is fixed at a 45-degree angle, with the front end of the pencil
point in contact with the coating surface and subjected to an
appropriate load. The test platform moves at a certain speed,
causing the coating surface to pass over the pencil point. The
softest pencil grade that does not cause damage (scratches) to
the coating surface is considered the hardness of the coating.
Pressure of pencil lead is 500g, 750g and 1000g. |
