Precautions |
Safety
Operating Guide: To ensure personal and property safety,
please strictly adhere to the following precautions:
Installation Surface: This electric kiln must be
placed on a level, solid, and non-combustible surface (e.g.,
concrete, ceramic tile, metal bench). Never place it
directly on combustible materials like wooden floors or
plastic countertops, as the exterior surface becomes very
hot during operation.
Clearance Requirements: Maintain at least 30 cm of
clearance on all sides of the kiln for proper heat
dissipation. Furthermore, ensure there are no flammable or
explosive materials (e.g., paper, wood, fabric, chemicals)
within a 1.5-meter radius of the kiln.
Ventilation: Adequate ventilation is critical! The
kiln must only be operated in a well-ventilated area, such
as a studio with an exhaust fan. Never use it in confined,
poorly ventilated spaces.
Away from Detectors & Sprinklers: Do not position the
kiln directly under fire sprinklers, as the heat generated
during normal operation may accidentally activate them.
Also, keep it away from overhead heat/smoke detectors to
prevent false alarms.
Location & Stability: Position the kiln in a
low-traffic, stable area. Avoid high-traffic pathways to
prevent accidental impacts and ensure safe, stable
operation.
Electrical Safety: Use a dedicated power outlet that
meets specifications and ensure proper grounding. Do not
coil the power cord or let it come into contact with hot
parts of the kiln.
Burn Hazard Warning: The kiln remains HOT during the
entire firing and cooling process. Always wear
high-temperature resistant gloves for any operation. Never
touch the kiln or unload pieces with bare hands until the
temperature has dropped below 100°C. |

1. Kiln Loading
(Ware Placement)
★Ensure the kiln interior and all kiln furniture (posts, shelf
board) are clean.
★Evenly place 3-4 of the shortest posts on the bottom of the
kiln.
★Position the shelf board (with the white side facing up)
securely on the posts.
★Place your completely dried ceramic pieces on the shelf board.
★Crucial: Ensure the posts, shelf board, and pieces do not touch
or press against the heating elements (molybdenum disilicide
wires) on the sides or bottom.
2. Initial Firing & Venting
★Place the lid on top, but do not close it tightly. Leave a
significant gap to allow moisture to escape.
★Select or program your desired firing curve on the control
panel.
★Turn on the power to begin the firing process.
3. Sealing the Kiln
★When the temperature reaches 300°C, put on high-temperature
gloves.
★Carefully close and lock the lid securely, ensuring it is fully
sealed for the main firing stage.
4. Cooling & Unloading
★After the firing program ends, the kiln will cool down
automatically.
★When the temperature drops to 200°C, you may crack the lid open
slightly to speed up cooling (or let it cool naturally).
★Once the temperature falls below 100°C, you can turn off the
power.
★Wearing high-temperature gloves, fully open the lid and
carefully unload your finished pieces. |
