Overview |
| The rotary evaporator is mainly
used for evaporation, distillation, extraction, purification,
concentration and separation experiments. The working principle
is that under the vacuum condition, the rotating bottle is
heated at a constant temperature while rotating at a constant
speed, the material forms a large film on the bottle wall, and
therefore the solution can evaporate quickly and is recovered in
the collection bottle through the condenser. The rotary
evaporator is used for continuous distillation of volatile
solvents under the reduced pressure conditions to achieve
solid-liquid or liquid-liquid separation. The rotary evaporator
can be used in conjunction with the vacuum pumps,
low-temperature coolant circulation pumps, etc. |

Attention |
|
1. During the operation of the equipment, it
is forbidden to touch the bath with hands to avoid scalds, and
it is also forbidden to touch the rotating transmission to
prevent the risk of entanglement.
2. When cleaning the foam particles in the
condenser, do not shake it vigorously to prevent the coil pipe
from being broken, but pour acidic liquid to dissolve it.
3. Place the equipment on a clean, tidy and
stable tabletop.
4. During use, handle with care to avoid the
phenomenon that the glass is broken to cause injuries. |

Operation
Method |
|
1. Clean all the glass accessories, assemble
the equipment according to the instructions, and apply the
vacuum grease to the glass connections.
2. Add an appropriate amount of water or oil
to the bath. Please note that the heating tube needs to be
immersed in the water or oil.
3. Put the materials into the rotating
bottle, check that all parts are connected tightly, then adjust
the height of the bath, and turn on the bath for heating.
4. Turn on the rotating motor and start
working. |
