| Product Features & Advantages |
| 1. 38mm Spindle Diameter: The robust
spindle ensures absolute stability during cutting, preventing disc
vibration and achieving a mirror-like, perfectly flat and smooth
repaired surface. 2. High Disc
Precision: Repair accuracy is controlled within 0.00–0.005mm, far
exceeding industry standards, guaranteeing near-zero end runout and
thickness variation in brake discs.
3. Safe voltage conversion: Utilizes 220V
to 12V safe voltage drive. Even direct contact with the cutter poses no
electric shock risk, fully safeguarding operator safety. |
|
1. Confirm the
rotation direction of drive unit DL-985L matches the arrow indicator on
DL-985.
2. DL-985L on 4W cars: set motor switch to position ‘1’ to ensure
correct rotation direction.
3. If significant ridges exist on the brake surface, remove them without
exceeding the maximum cutting depth.
4. Operate the slide of DL-718L until tool bits align with the center of
the brake surface.
5. Carefully turn adjustment knobs clockwise until the sound of tool
bits contacting the brake disc becomes just audible.
6. Gently move the slides toward the hub of the brake disc.
7. When using the positive angle tool bit, the adjustment knob may be
engaged by a maximum of 16 clicks.
8. When using the straight tool bit, the adjustment knob may be engaged
by a maximum of 4 clicks.
9. 1 click equals 0.05mm.
10. Set adjustment knobs (clockwise) to the selected value (minimum
0.05mm, maximum 0.8mm).
11. Activate autofeed using the switch and secure by locking the knob.
12. After machining, stop the DL-718L autofeed by pressing the button a
second time.
13. Then stop drive unit DL-985L.
14. Verify that both inner and outer brake surfaces are completely
machined.
15. Confirm the brake disc thickness meets the minimum replacement
specification in the workshop manual. If below threshold, replace the
brake disc. |
|
1. Never operate
equipment when feeling unwell or fatigued.
2. The DL-718L brake disc grinder must be used in conjunction with the
DL-985L main unit.
3. Do not exceed the grinder's rated load capacity.
4. Keep work area clean and organized. An untidy workspace may lead to
accidents.
5. If the equipment is to be stored unused for an extended period, it
must be properly packaged and stored in a location out of reach of
children.
6. During operation of the equipment, do not allow children to approach.
7. Except for the operator, no other persons should be allowed to touch
the equipment, power cords, or related components within the operating
area.
8. Do not operate the equipment under the following conditions:
- Where there is a potential risk of explosion.
- When the weather is excessively dry or humid.
9. Do not operate the equipment outdoors in rainy conditions.
10. When installing or removing automotive parts, always follow the
vehicle manufacturer's safety codes and installation/removal guidelines.
11. Avoid wearing loose clothing or jewelry, as they risk getting caught
in the equipment.
12. Never pull on the power cord to disconnect it from the wall outlet.
13. Operators with long hair should tie it up securely with a hair net.
14. When turning on the lathe, hot metal chips may fall or fly off.
15. To prevent potential fire hazards, injuries, or burns, follow these
precautions:
a. Wear safety goggles;
b. Wear protective clothing;
c. Wear appropriate gloves;
d. Wear a dust mask;
e. Ensure a fire extinguisher is readily available. |
