Dry Ice Blast Cleaning Machine 110V
Product Overview
The dry ice cleaning machine is an environmentally-friendly device for precision cleaning. It sprays the high-density dry ice particles (approximately 0.3-0.5mm in diameter) onto the surfaces of PCBA boards through the compressed air so as to remove contaminants and dirt through low-temperature embrittlement and impact. It features lossless cleaning, high cleaning qualification rate and efficiency, low cleaning cost and good adaptability. The dry ice cleaning machine is suitable for cleaning micro parts and avoids chemical residues and can be widely applied to the industries of electronic manufacturing, SMT production, new energy, medical, scientific research, etc.

Precaution
1. Always wear gloves, safety goggles, anti-noise ear defenders, a dust mask and other appropriate personal protective equipment.

2. Do not wear loose clothing, jewelry or open-toed shoes. Long hair must be tied.

3. Operation must be conducted in a well-ventilated area or a Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) system is used. Dry ice sublimation will produce a large amount of carbon dioxide (CO2), which can reduce the oxygen concentration in the confined space and pose a suffocation hazard. The CO2 concentration monitoring alarm should be installed in the working area.

4. It is strictly prohibited to store flammable and explosive materials (e.g., solvents and cardboard boxes) within 3 meters of the equipment. Static sparks may be generated during dry ice cleaning.

5. Use an insulated and anti-static workbench and ensure it is stable. The ground in the working area should be kept dry to prevent slipping and falling.

6. Never look directly into the nozzle. Dry ice particles are ejected at extremely high velocity, and direct viewing may cause eye injury.

7. Do not spray at people. The nozzle must not point at any personnel regardless of whether the equipment is running or not.

8. Do not clean energized equipment. Before cleaning, ensure that the PCBA is disconnected from all power sources and properly discharged.

9. Do not clean components of unknown composition or loose parts. For boards with loose components or unknown chemical coatings on the surfaces, an assessment must be conducted first to prevent component detachment or chemical reactions caused by cleaning.

10. The jet pressure is directly affected by the inlet air flow so that the inlet air flow cannot be too low. If the inlet air flow is excessive, adjust it by using the pressure regulating valve.

11. When the air pressure is constant, the higher the ice spray quantity, the better the cleaning effect. When the pressure is low, and the ice spray quantity is excessive, pipe blockage may occur.

12. If the machine suddenly stops spraying air or ice under normal electrical conditions, the pipe may be blocked by ice. Switch to the air jet mode and press the spray gun to spray air so as to clear the blockage and resume operation.

Product Features

Ice Amount Regulator

The feed amount and flow rate of dry ice particles are controlled via the regulating knob to ensure the cleaning process is stable and efficient. Adjustment of the dry ice flow rate can optimize the cleaning intensity, avoid damage or insufficient cleaning, prevent blockage or abnormal pressure caused by excessive dry ice, and protect the compressor and pipelines.

Operating Switch

The machine has three operating modes which can be switched: the dry ice spraying mode for cleaning operation, the standby mode for pause and break, and the air blowing mode for blowing air or clearing clogged hoses. The operator can freely select different operating modes as required, the mode switching is easy and convenient, and the control effect is good.

Pressure Regulating Valve

It can precisely control the pressure of the compressed air, ensuring the cleaning effect while protecting the PCBA boards. By adjusting the pressure of the compressed air, the jet speed and impact force of the dry ice particles are controlled to meet the cleaning requirements of different contaminants and base materials.

Spray Gun

The spray gun is small in size and light in weight, and is matched with the 4m ice outlet pipe to achieve uniform and smooth ice output and avoid ice blockage. The anti-slip handle design meets the ergonomic standard, relieves the hand fatigue during long-term operation and makes the operator more comfortable.

Operation Method

1. Put on all the protective equipment as described above.

2. Equipment Inspection: Check whether the pressure of the compressed air source is within the range required by the equipment. Inspect the dry ice conveying pipeline for blockages, and the nozzle for clogging or wear. Ensure the equipment is properly grounded.

3. Environment Setting: Ensure the working area is well-ventilated, remove all flammable materials, and set up the warning line.

4. PCBA Pretreatment: Disconnect all power connections. Remove large surface dust with an anti-static brush or air gun. Fix the circuit board on an anti-static fixture to prevent movement during cleaning.

5. Open the main compressed air valve. Press the equipment power switch to start the machine. Set the air compressor pressure (the recommended starting pressure: 0.3-0.5MPa). For precise PCBA, it is recommended to start testing at a low pressure.

6. Set the Dry Ice Flow Rate: Adjust the dry ice feed knob according to the equipment model.
Nozzle Distance: It is suggested to maintain a distance of 4-5cm between the nozzle and the PCBA surface.
Spray Angle: It is suggested to maintain an angle of 30˚-45˚ to avoid vertical impact that could damage solder joints.

7. Start Cleaning: Press the spray gun trigger to begin spraying.
Movement Mode: Move the nozzle at a constant speed in a uniform path (e.g., S-shaped path) to cover the entire area to be cleaned. Avoid staying on one spot for a long time.
Insufficient Cleaning: Slightly increase the dry ice flow rate, or keep the pressure unchanged while reducing the nozzle distance.
Excessive Cleaning / Damage: Immediately reduce the pressure or increase the nozzle distance.

8. Finish Cleaning: Release the spray gun trigger to stop spraying. Move the nozzle away from the PCBA surface. Press the equipment stop button and turn off the power. Close the main compressed air valve. Place the cleaned PCBA in a dry and clean environment to air-dry naturally for at least 30 minutes so as to ensure complete dryness.
